The trail is flat, unhurried — a six-kilometre walk through canyons and open desert where Nabataean caravans once passed the tombs of Lihyan and the red face of Jabal Ahmar. A guide rides ahead, not to perform but to remember out loud, and the horse carries you at the only pace this land respects: slow enough to notice. Come in winter, when the light is soft and the heat has let go its grip; the desert asks for your attention early, and gives back a morning you will keep. No experience is required here — only the willingness to be somewhere that does not rush you.
